Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Hi Pacuca

You definitely can surf with the 17, it turns just as fast as my 14 if not a little faster and what I really liked about it was that as I went down the line I could just park the kite and it drifted downwind with no problems.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

I'm loving the 17M Cloud, besides what everyone else has added, I love the stability of it, even if the wind backs down to 6 mph I don't have to worry about it dropping like with my other kite, less is definitely more. Now, I'm trying to decide what size to get next, the 13 or 10. I live in San Dieg...

Re: Lightwind Kite! Any suggestions?

My vote would be for the Cloud 17, for your size maybe 13, I weigh 83 kg, I had it flying in 7 knots and riding on my 6 foot surfboard, I was going downwind but I was riding as soon as it picked up to 10 knots I was going upwind without any problem.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

I also think because he let out his bar when he looped it, when I loop my current kite I will usually pull in the bar, in the other vids they turn pretty fast.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

I'm surprised no one has posted this vid which shows the looping and jumping ability of the kite:

Re: Beginner Kiter - Kite Advice

Currently I ride Blade kites but from the kites you listed I would get the Kahoonas. They are very user friendly and relaunch very easily, which is what you want for a beginner, this is not to say that the other kites out there won't do this but they are pricier. I use to own a Kahoona but they were...
