Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

1. Fossil fuels are not on net subsidized. Do you believe the world would be richer without fossil fuels if we just stopped "subsidizing" it? 2. I have quite some money invested in the "solar panel industry". Probably not my best investment. As I have explained earlier they do not work with current...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Exactly. I do not have a Phd, but I am a so-called "Master of Science" and I have lectured at Graduate level. Nothing related to climate, but I am very aware of how limited ones "specialized" knowledge is. There is just no way anyone can be an "expert" on climate change based on some sort of specia...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Which field of study would that be? No one worth their salt would ever claim to be a "climate scientist" as everyone understands it would be impossible for any human to be an expert on everything that might influence climate. Sowell understands data at least. As for his position on climate change I...

Re: Casio MW240 Watch; Hold up very well

I used Casio's in the 80's and 90's as well. They lasted until the plastic housing disintegrated and buttons became exposed, or battery trouble started (was never really sorted with a new one). So many years. Then a really cheap one (came with a packet of Omo I think) which also lasted many years. ...

Re: Eleveight CS Auto Bar

I'm not too particular about bars. Most are fine to me and so will this one be I'm sure. The other day I came accross an old slingshot bar from around 2002. Depower is about the same as some today, only the QR was a bit simple. But to think that many makes have gone through towards 20 improved model...

Re: How would you rank kite manufacturer quality?

I get the impression that quality has varied through the years per make. I have an old CORE and I would classify it as one of the worst, while these days many people seem to think it's one of the best. I think Cabrinha used to be very good but in the last few years quality seems to have gone down a ...

Re: 2023 Rebel SLS vs Evo DLAB vs Orbit vs XR7 Comparison

How is an XS 8m? How is the highend of the XS? What I read out of the reviews here so far is that the Orbit is the kite with the best high end as it sounds easiest to control in high wind. (thinking of 35+knots) yep... Orbit is incredible as a high wind kite &/or in gusty conditions. I don't know m...

Re: How underrated is this sport?! Epic windsurfing drone

If you look how many hours it takes to that kind of level vs someone who jumps with a kite 5m high you understand why it’s not underrated but just a practically of life. In real life most people don’t have 20-40 hours of practicing their sport. The majority of kiters here hope to get a few sessions...
