You probably have a leash/flagout line, and if just you let the bar go you’ll be dragged by the kite

Wingfoil learning is humbling to an experienced kitefoiler, just like learning to kitefoil was humbling to an experienced keteboarder.

Learning to kitefoil I always ended up severely upwind (and struggled to fly downwind) which wasn’t the case with wingfoil.

I don’t think he’s stupid. Shit happened and he handled it.
