Re: Front or back heli loops for soft landings after jump?

So the conclusion is that there is no specific loop that makes landings softer, but it's all about getting a feeling of which type of loop that will give you the softest landing in different scenarios.

Front or back heli loops for soft landings after jump?

My knees are worn out from years of kiting. Still I love to jump in strong wind... I know it's not good for my knees but the feeling of feeling alive can't stop me from jumping high. To make my knees last as long as possible I try to aim for as soft landings as possible. I pretty much always make a ...

Re: Best board for boosting jumps?

Does the pad position matter? I see that this guy with his modified board has taken things to its extreme, but on a normal TT do you place the pads in the middle of the board? Or do you put them one screw hole closer to the edge?

Re: Best board for boosting jumps?

Hello GrodanBoll , The SPARTAN v2 & v3 are basically the same. The only difference are the graphics and the Pads/Straps. 190 lbs is fine but if you are above 6 feet then the SPARTAN will be a little too short at (129cm long) but you need the board to be narrow like 39cm wide is perfect for choppy a...

Re: Best board for boosting jumps?

Ok excellent. So then the perfect board for you will be something a little narrower so it can cut through the chop better and edge better at the last minute. So if you are going to kite in choppy conditions and windy then you need a board that is at least (38 to 40cm) wide depending your weight. Pe...

Re: Best board for boosting jumps?

Thanks for the tips Dimitri! I already know how to boost the jumps with the kite. My main concern is the board. The conditions where I ride is often choppy. Sometimes I manage to use a small chop as a mini ramp, but I think the timing is hard. In flat water then it's very easy, but with choppy water...

Best board for boosting jumps?

Like many others I like to boost my jumps and jump as high as possible. I always ride with straps and my favorite board is 137 cm in length and quite flexible. The fins are "normal" sized. I'm thinking to myself that the better you can hold the power from the kite the higher you can boost your jumps...

Kiteboarding possible in Split, Croatia by the end of June?

I'm soon going with my family to a place called Split in Croatia. Question is if I should bring my kite gear? Will go in the end of June and stay for one week.

Re: Peter Lynn Hornet 2.0m sucks!

I made the front/steering lines almost 3 inches shorter which did the trick! Now the kite flies as it should fly, finally! =) Still I wonder why the lines length were not correct? I always take for granted that the line lengths are in their right lengths when I buy a new kite, but this is apparently...
