my problem with the jackson board is that the pad keeps peeling off no matter what i do. i used contact cement to glue it and tried to attach it with gorilla tape, nothing helps, the whole thing is hanging on treads now. if someone has experience fixing it i'd appreciate an advise, regards 'stormsu...
I have been using single strut kites on foils for awhile, love em, but the last two days I have tried my 9 Ultra on my surfboard. I noticed turns seem slower than a standard 3 strut wave kite, my timing during downloops was off with transitions and on the wave. Watching the kite when redirecting ha...
I think I must've been lucky. My first Wave was in 2012, a 9m, that I loved. I lived on that kite. Not once had I experienced anything you guys are talking about. MInd you I never had out in 40+. I weigh 95kgs. I have a 2018 10m and find it is a great kite. The 2015 7m I have is a dream in high wind...
A 70 will suit you well there. Chest high water is needed for 80cm+ masts. Anything less and you'll be catching the wing during your learning. A 60 will be good for starting and probably suit for your first few months, then size up to the 70 I have friends who have a place out there and have visited...
No, not tried a 9m. The 10 is fast enough, Not as fast as a Wave, but you don't want it to be. It works well with a SB, but is better matched with a foilboard. If you're going to be mostly SB, with a bit of foiling and a little TT, then get the Wave. If you're going to mostly foil, with a lot of SB ...
Completely agree with Seabizzle. The Ultra is good on a SB, but not as good as the Wave. The Wave is good with a foil board, but, not as good as the Ultra. When the wind is light, you want the Ultra. It generates so much power via apparent wind, it will blow your mind. And upwind capability is eye o...
Yeah, I had a 2014 12m and I didn't gel with it either. I live on my 10m, but I use different boards for different wind/waves etc. I weigh 95kg+ and can use that from 17/18kts with my 5'3" Evo SB. Obviously more wind the better it gets. If you're finding the 7 works from 16kts, then a 10 should fill...
