Have you tried doing aerial transitions while grabbing the board instead of a taking off and landing in the same direction? Significantly easier because you don't have to switch hands to land - definitely can't take off with as much speed/jump as high though.

I'd try shoe goo, bonded pretty well on my river sandals and stays flexible. You need to clamp it well though as it is not tacky enough to hold material together until it starts to set.

Wouldn't a larger kite still produce more peak power provide you have long enough lines to permit it to loop, or am I missing something?
