I agree definitely take some lessons, but to answer your question...any board that you would be looking to ride as a beginner should have fins. Without them the board will not ride upwind well and have a tendency to "skid"across he surface of the water...in short it'll make your life blooming diffic...

The big thing is safety! Make sure your always thinking safety first in everything you do as that's the what the examiner will be checking for. Second thing they look for is personality, you're now an ambassador for the sport and they want to know you'll be someone who makes it fun and appealing for...

Before I start I have to say we are currently using switch kites at my school and yes officially we are team riders but I tried the kite before I came a team rider, and the reason I became a team rider was because I loved them....if anyone's interested I wrote a review (link below)...now obviously y...
