i don't know which leash is best, but i do know the absolute worst part of winging is dealing with both those damn leashes.

i've tried kiting with a wing board, and one problem is avoiding putting your harness hook into your wing board while getting up. you have to be very careful.

shore break, coming in. i undo the velcro around my waist just prior to going in, so if i get hit by a wave, the board goes far from my wing. haven't damaged a wing that way since. of course, this requires no one is in harm's way.

the only 'quick release' waist leash i ever had wouldn't release at all. check these mechanisms before you're out there; you may find the same. hopefully not. i've gone back to velcro...i know that will release.

since most of us Peak riders already like it, it would seem the only reason for a hybrid would be the relaunch. i've had very limited success relaunching my Peaks as i kite in generally rough/wavy conditions and unless it comes down perfectly upright, it ain't relaunching. but none of these reviews ...
