Width is more important than length for surface area. Rectangular as apposed to rounded tips. Again that gives you the greatest surface area. Yes they are. Load and pop kite position doesn't change. You'll use your load and pop technique later for sent-kite boosting and lots of other hooked and unhooked tricks. Learn load and pop first (kite position doesn't change).
