Not sure where you are but just bought a UK custom SNUGG wetsuit. You send in 20+ measurements and then you get a made to measure suit that you know will never bunch up / pinch / or squeeze you too tight or be easily flushed ..... used it last weekend 4 degrees and I was sweating .... I have a 3/2 O...

There are these strange things called roofracks - windsurfers used them a lot in the past. All manner of crap can be carried incl drunken mates on the beach .... Amazing how 19th century

Richard, Thanks for the info, and nice picture as well. How does your DC handle higher winds and powered up conditions? Also, if you don't mind me asking how much do you weigh? Hi - board is great in high winds the quad setup means it holds unlike any other big board. Been out in 35 knots with 7m H...

I have a DC board and in fact after getting the surfboard sold my hammer and ordered a TT Player from Dereck as well. Easy to use - quads are great in the surf from onshore to sideshore. Easier to make the leap than my 5 foot surfboard. Started a blog - but need to update it. http://surfing-with-kit...

You say windsurfing is best in high winds, I dont disagree BUT - I have windsurfed in 40kn + and jumps were hell due to boards projected area - high but not always in control. Kiting in high wind does work but when most peoples smallest kite is 7m (projected area 5m) then ballistic conditions are di...

I had an airush hammer 138 - not bad but now using quad surfboard dcboardz custom so sold it and have more tricksy tt. Apparently the larger Hammer is a bit of a dog.
Shinn wave looks handy as well - might be the half way house you are looking for.

When i lived in Cape Town 30 knot side shore and 3m waves you cant beat a windsurfer. Broke my nose in the rinse cycle hitting the board ouch that hurt and timing was always crucial - also the higher you jumped the harder you fell - snapped my custom windsurf waveboard this way landing a touch too f...

So glad the entire local windsurfcrew doesn't switch over to what they call "the dark side", as it would get a lot more crowded on the good days. You can have 50 windsurfers and fill the same space with 5 kiteboarders. Well in west scotland they have switched - the other day 23 knots and i counted ...
