big thx to you and Paul. Our sport needs guys like you to have a future. I hope more magazines see the need of articles like that, since their future is over when the sport is... Those are kind words to our handwringing pals, but I've noticed that you don't necessarily buy in  . Of course, it...

So to sum all of that up: IKO certification doesn't mean you'll be safe, or even learn how to kiteboard. But instructors, stores, and especially train the trainer schools will have an opportunity to fleece the student. Store instructors - What a great way to ensure that you get first dibs on the noo...

I'd suggest SKC (Sid's Kiteboarding Certification) - It offers the following benefits: * It is VERY exclusive - Not every fool has one! * It costs $250,000.00 (US) and takes years to accomplish (If it is that hard to get one, you KNOW it is good!) * This certification is recognized by Sid, no matter...

Personally, I really like the wine, although it surely didn't turn out anywhere near what we expected. Batch two is already being hashed out by the 'winecrafters' as we speak. A pineapple wine, perhaps?

J-Mee says that she can see colors again, so all is well. :D

Only problem with landkiteboarding is that its not legal on Daytona or new smyrna beach. There is a windpowered vehicles ban. I know I am a lifeguard and I asked the head honchos in the beach patrol. I've never had a problem or had anyone say anything to me. Then again, I never asked. And I never w...

I get this a lot, so please excuse the cut n' paste... Q. Who do you think the best kiteboarder is? A. Me. Here's why: * I always get to see me using my favorite gear * I'm horrendously good looking - Always attracting the longing stares of women (and certain types of men) * I get to see all of my t...

Whenever I wear my fishnet Speedo (tm) to the beach, it makes it horrendously dangerous to kiteboard! This is cause by the lustful throng of women and certain types of men that are attracted to such an adonisesque visage. Of course, if you look like Rosie O'Donnel, wearing a thong makes kiteboarding...

OT: The First Wine is in the Bottle - Tasting Results

!!!OFF TOPIC!!! Hard to believe that we have time for other activities outside of kiting. However, after brewing several wildly successful ales (and a few fairly successful ones...) - I've tried my hand at 'winecrafting' (Sounds pretty sexy, huh?). Today, the time has arrived to bottle & tas...

Seedless is right on the money - Whatever your biggest kite is (and maybe the next smallest), bring it... And pray for wind! Right now, our best winds come from fronts moving through - But that is starting to become more & more rare as the season changes (to HOT). You may get a particularly strong s...

Re: Doing tricks right next to shore

:-? No offense, but aren't you painting with a wide, wide brush? As a general rule of thumb around here, people go big outside of the breakers. Once in a while, we'll huck some big air off of a wave in the breaker zone. We have a few riders who really tear up the surf, but they are still way beyond ...
