if my 10m speed4 lotus can just barely stay in the air then i have trouble foiling, on the surface feels like only a couple of knots....surely theres a bit more 20m up once the sp4 can sit near the side of the window and not back up then i can get foiling easily....so 5-7 kts is about the threshold ...

You must believe foilholio there is very long distance from 6-8 knots to 3-4 knots. i love my alpine access 5.0. i use the xlp wing for light wind and SPORT wing for higher wind. Sport wing is incredible. can't go wrong with the alpine brand, they are doing some great things right now.

Foiling in high wind is great with high aspect wings. Amazing acceleration.

Prob wouldn't be using this kite in 35-40. I'd be on an lei in that kind of wind.

Looking more for the 15-25 and 25+kind of wind we get. Lulls to 18-20 gusts to 25-30
