Re: Oyster foot protection

...They have saved me from even bad cuts since that time. They don't last forever and will wear eventually. Still, for a near barefoot feeling with some major slice protection the FYF socks offer some strong advantages... Rick how are they with regard to putting on and off, at the beach? Do you hav...

Re: Oyster foot protection

Don't ask. You might need eye bleach after reading this. http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/hawaii-scuba-diver-hospitalized-after-his-penis-gets-stuck-in-giant-clam/ I saw that story come up today (which is bullsh*t worldnews clickbait not worth your time) and the opening picture cracked me up. Someon...

Re: Oyster foot protection

... it's quite a thin sole, what you can see is the sole moulding extending up the sides, not the sole itself, the pebbles on the beach still hurt if there is a sharp one. and the sole bends easily, very soft and pliable, stiff soles are awful no feeling at all and stick in the footstraps. Thanks. ...

Re: Oyster foot protection

for me It took me 16 years to find the ideal bootie at a good price, one that was soft and pliable that did not twist, one that prevented the fine grit and stones from getting inside, one that stayed on even in the fastest hardest wipe out, all with enough feel to make them unnoticeable when worn, ...

Re: Oyster foot protection

Yeah, O'neil 2M split toe reef booties is probably what I have now that you mention it. I wish those Swiss socks came in another color. Do we really need a bright red Swiss band on our ankles? Lots of options, and I agree... as much as I hate wearing them, I hate being sidelined with a foot injury w...

Those are the ones I'd heard of. Thanks.

Would you recommend them? How is the traction on surf boards (waxed or pads)

Re: Oyster foot protection

[*]Safety Rick has these mesh socks he wears for reef kiting that are perfect for oyster shells as well. I forget the brand, but they look like those silver woven fishing gloves that protect from teeth and knives. Me, I used the thinnest booties I can find, that also offer protection. I do not like ...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

Wow, the Quark stabilizer seems to work much better than the Revl Arc: Interesting device. I suspect I'll check this one out. At the pre-order price it's a good deal. At the MSRP, it's a pricey option for single axis stabilization. I agree that it'll be nice to add waterproof stabilization to a mat...

Ozone Connect Pro harness...

I had the opportunity to demo the Ozone Connect Pro snowkite harness for a few days last week and really liked it. While I didn't have issues with my Ride Engine water harness, the Ozone harness was more comfortable on the snow, packs down even smaller, and doesn't cause my coat to ride up. It was a...
