Re: D3o - The future of impact absorber?

I don't think footpads made of it would be very good. You want them soft on landings, not turning to concrete on every hard landing, that would result in some serious ankle and leg trauma.

Re: Very sad to report first fatality ever in Taiwan

Wow, that is terrible. I never even thought about the consequences of a leashed board launching through the lines. My sympathies to the deceased and his family. Not only can you get knocked out using a leash you can apparently get all locked up, we really gotta get people to stop using those leashes.

Re: A large majority of good kitersurfers think....

I fly C's, and I have flown bridled and I have come to believe that everyone should either add a C to their quiver or borrow one because with bridled kites you have a tendency to change board speed with the depower rather than edging and shifting your weight. Youu will be surprised at how much your ...

Re: Why do I love my C kite fuel?

Is the 09 higher aspect? It looks like a similar AR to my octanes, which is fine cuz the jump like crazy, and loop incredibly fast, plus fly right at edge of wind. I've always liked high Ar vs Mid to low.

Re: A large majority of good kitersurfers think....

i just want to say that these bow vs c discussions are f-ing great. They are so damn funny. It's like arguing cars vs trucks or skateboards vs longboards or any other thing that has all to do with personal preference. Here's the fact, the pros that focus on kite loops are gonna always ride C kites b...

Re: Why do I love my C kite fuel?

I have been flying the SS Octanes 10m and 14m for about a year, and I f-ing love them, they jump so damn high and respond instantly. I've never flown the fuels but if it's anything like the Octane I'll scoop one up as my next kite. Anyone have any comparison of the Octane VS Fuel as far as flying ch...

I design and build camera stabilization units for holltwood movies. It's called Glidecam industries. The owner understands that I get distracted if the wind is blowing and I start making mistakes so he lets me take off when the wind is up. I love it.

Re: Idea: 100% complete kitekiller

I'd rather just attach a 5th line that fully depowers the kite than have a 5th line that deflates it. If it's so bad just release yourself from the kite instead of having a heap of fabric collecting water and making it impossible to swim.
