Re: Nice Carving Pictures - post them!

Perhaps we should have agreed on the definition of "carving" at the beginning of this thread. Is turning in waves "carving"? Is throwing water about "carving"? Is an off-the-lip, however well executed "carving"? IMHO, in waves, only bottom turns may perfectly qualify as "carving". Yes, you are wrig...

Re: Beginner kite size

Thanks a lot for the reply. I was looking at a 12m as my first kite to start building my quiver around. Just wanted to here other's opinions as well Thanks again. Cheers. What are the winds like where you are planning on kiting? If the winds are like the Gorge, the 12 is way too big. If you're goin...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

if you are unhooking inadvertently it has nothing to do with your gear, it is your technique or lack there of. Mystic harnesses are more prone to accidental unhooking, lots of posts about it on here, to do with shape of hook. Either the donkey stick is too short to remain in the spreader hook, OR t...

Re: Shortest widest kiteboard?

The EPIC Oxygen is 135x47.5cm.
It's a great stiff light wind board. Not much rocker.
It sounds as if you are looking for one board quiver. It's not too likely that you'll find one that's great in all conditions

Re: Serious pinholes issues on the 2014 Ozone REOs

Damage control offer the guy a kite. Sounds like he has been a good customer for many years, I don't see why you would not want to keep him. I'd say Ozone Has stepped up to the plate and are sticking to their guns that their products are not crap. Don't get me wrong. I feel bad that the kiter has h...

Re: JetBlue through JFK

I believe that JB now has a kiteboarding policy. Their website has all the details. It charges $50 however, they have expanded the weight restriction and perhaps even the sizing restrictions. Now, that being said, I've traveled thru a number of airports with the Gray golf bag with a max of 50 pounds...

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

Lessons? You don't need lessons. They're for suckers. No, what you need to do is continue to just wing it and hope for the best. What you see others doing is irrelevant. Do what feels right to you. Definitely adjust your bridle line lengths. Silly manufacturer had it all screwed up anyway. Then be ...

If you had a lesson, you wouldnt be asking stupid questions.
It certainly looks as if you got a super deal. I'm sure it will reward you. :remybussi:
