Race wings can go really low in the wind if you dont lose the speed, this means, you dont fail your manouvers, if you do, you will probably swim. The same low end can be done in a much easy way using a bigger foil, but even like that, speed is your friend, you just dont need such a big kite.
Hey gang I have this dream of cruising around up on the foil doing smooth carving turns, zig zagging through swells and other kiters, big smile on my face and the wind in my hair, the only time my board touches the surface is when I water start at the beginning and come in at the end. Reality, my s...
So ive been riding alot more than writing last months, about this marginal wind stuff. I found out that i can go with the Moses Onda and a 13m R1V2 on 15m lines, almost as low in wind than with my Race Setup on 21m kite. That would be around 4-5 knots. It is ALOT more fun with the race setup tho
Using 11m lines on my 11 and 13, 13m lines on my 17m and 13 or 15m lines on my 21m (depending if lighter or not) R1V2 kites. I feel shorter lines give more control at speed and faster maneuvers.
New Comet might show up in the Gold Cup in Cagliari next week. It looks like it will be with tuttle this year. Wow thats very relevant information, because that will mean ive no board for it. Just mount tuttle to plate adapter and that makes you even longer mast by 10cm. Thats extra weight i dont w...
You need to learn decent kite control on a twintip first. Think of that as the first step to go into the hidrofoil. When i started hidrofoiling i had already 17 years of kiting and i still crashed my kite, so not having decent kite control will just make things much harder and probably dangerous.
