Re: 2017 north mono 15 meters

Recently tried the new Mono 15m kite with 24m lines. 12-14 knots of wind, flat water, heavyish 90Kg rider on a 2013 Nugget 5.5 borrowed on the beach. The kite turns like a pretty fast 12m and feels light in the air. Upwind performance poor to mediocre from shape (typical wave) but slightly helped by...

Re: Anyone ride both Firewire Vanguard vs. OR Duke?

Due to my knee injuries I ride strapless surfboards, I've tried quite a few and I can honestly say my favourite are the Firewire because they absorb chop better than anything else out there. Their lively flex is a real winner in this game and although the newest generations kite-surfboards are impro...

Re: Best Dyno line length for lightwinds

New bridle system? The Dyno was discontinued after 2015... From 2015 the Dyno has a whole new bridle system, attached to the struts as opposed to the LE.. that was 2015 and 2016 LTD. It's only been discontinued this year, I think it's a real shame. In many opinions the Dyno was the most refined hig...

Re: Best Dyno line length for lightwinds

Went for 27m, I'll try the 5m extensions too.. I'm so intrigued by the new bridle system, and if it's true that it feels like a foil in the air, bingo!!!

Best Dyno line length for lightwinds

Hi guys, I'm about to get a Dyno 15m 2015 to use in light winds for freeride (directionals) and for some tt boosting. Going for a 5 line bar 2015 and wondering whether to go for 24 or 27m length? Also have a set of 5m extensions (possibly to add to the 24m lines).
Cheers :thumb:

Re: Why suicide leash isn't a good idea

Interesting topic and I confess to being one of the many who use it the sliding bit at the back to attach my leash, despite there being side or front options. Next time I'm out I will reconsider! Nobody has ever commented and I would like to think I'd be interested and receptive to advice... Well d...

Re: Why suicide leash isn't a good idea

A few years ago I was involved in a nasty death loop (all story posted). To cut the story short, due to some real bad luck I was dragged in extreme conditions (rough sea and over 40kn of wind) by a looping heli-kite pulling my body backwards from the safety leash clipped on my handlepass ring at the...

Re: Advice for buying 1st Foil Kite

Ozone Chrono 15m V2 = best foil kite ever. Predictable, light, fast turning for its size, great hangtime, tips don't fold... a different planet!
