Re: KiteSurfing- Judging criteria for waves PKRA

If you grab a fish and paddle out to pipe you have da wrong board baa!! yeah... kinda my point. you can ride whatever you want but my point is unstrapped and unhooked is harder than hooked in and strapped on. difficulty, critical part of the wave, and style should be considered. People that win sur...

Re: KiteSurfing- Judging criteria for waves PKRA

my $0.02... don't judge based on gear choice. Take a look at freestyle : go to a wakestyle comp or jam - they don't use boots 'cuz it's harder, they do it for (ideally) better style. So if you have the skills to get the style, then using them should pay off because 'style' is key in judging. On the ...

Re: Unhook easier with bigger chickenloop?

my $0.02... I like a bigger chicken loop because then you don't need to adjust your depower before unhooking - always set the same trip to not oversheet too much. And you can ride around with your bar pulled in all the way but still in a comfortable arm position. you can just put stopper balls or wh...

Orlando this week

Hey, I'll be in Orlando this coming week and it looks like maybe a NW wind for a few days.
Any suggestions where to find the best kiting?
Ideally waves, but also something safe enougth for my girlfriend to ride too (going upwind, just starting to jump).

thanks!

Re: GoPro fogging problem

You must have closed the housing in hot, moist air, trapping moist air in the housing. As the housing cools, the air becomes oversaturated with moisture, consequently fogging up the housing. You need to make sure the air inside the housing is low in humidity. One way could be to close it in the fri...

Re: naish custom global 5,7 problem

yeah dude, the 5'7" is WAY too small for someone your size. you'll be much happier on the 6'0" fish or the 6'2" global.

Re: Kites sitting deep in the window versus more forward - why?

I thought freestyle kites should sit deeper for better pop etc., but recently read some that said Ckites excelled for freestyle because they sit more forward in the window. So can anyone elaborate on this topic. Details appreciated :D nahh... it's not one or the other. C kites are more inefficient ...
