Re: Hatteras closed. Who will get the money back?

This policy sounds encouraging if you had booked prior to March 17th?? https://www.facebook.com/52421289215/posts/10158252036729216/?sfnsn=mo Their clients could still get screwed if state, or federal, or international restrictions are not lifted prior to whenever the county restrictions are lifted....

Re: New Milestone in Kitesports Safety: ISO Standard 21853 on Quick-Release Systems

For the correct bar orientation, the Core Sensor3 has only one color on only one end of the bar (no other colors on the other end to confuse with what color needs to be in which hand). The color happens to be on the left hand and in bright yellow (with SENSOR printed on this side). The Core logo in ...

Re: My experience kiting in Colombia for almost 3 months.

A buddy of mine had noticed this wind nugget over the area earlier this winter and kept an eye on it all winter. He said that its there most days even on extended forecasts and still there when that day arrives. He wondered why Columbia was not on his radar earlier. Screenshot_20200331-124606_Chrome...

Re: Vertigo while Kiting?

I experienced some crazy assed vertigo while snowkiting once years ago. A snow squall blew through with zero visibility. All I could see was me, my board, and the top of the rigging on my bar. The snow was powder so it was like I was riding on a cloud. No tactile feeling at all. No horizon. It felt ...

Re: Measuring jump height in a new way

I don't think , barometric sensors are the way to go ; think about what causes a Gust of wind , (change in pressure) , and you can see it on the water. GPS won't work well either ; accuracy to within 1 meter ain't happening. A laser measuring device, would need to be pointed down at all times to wo...

Re: Measuring jump height in a new way

I have a toy helicopter that has an "Altitude Hold" feature that supposedly uses an electronic Barometer. Throttle up to the desired height, then release the throttle to hold altitude. It does an amazing job holding a steady altitude. I didn't think barometers had this kind of sensitivity (inches) t...

Re: Canards

I haven't seen much talk about this canard from Onofoil. Similar in area to the Spitfire XLW but swept wings. Anyone seen it? or tried it?

Looks like they are also working on a pump able surf foil.
