Re: Death Looping Kites...how to stop them?

I tried to release it myself then...stuck, no way to release it! It was an older CrazyFly QR.. Toby there are a lot of quick releases out there that don't work properly. I have used a few of them myself and when I go up to another kiter using a brand I know for sure won't release they always say th...

Re: Just came back from Costa Rica

I consider pizza, hamburgers, pancakes, etc all American comfort food. The sorry excuse for pasta that was put in front of me when I ordered lasagna would have humiliated any Italian claiming to own that shop. And yes, I sent it back - I considered it beneath American Italian food standards (pretty ...

Re: Just came back from Costa Rica

I just got back from Blue Dream in Salinas. DEFINITELY take the 13. The conditions are extremely variable. I'm 100kg and they laughed at me for taking a 16,12,11. I actually did pump up he 16 on two different days. On those same days I also used the 12. The wind is very unstable and it can change dr...

Re: Light Wind Kite

You should make a list of kites you wish to try and look for dealers willing to let you demo. OR has a great KW kite and will let you simply return it. Blade Fat Lady is awesome Altho you will have to find a local dealer to get a demo in. Ozone - good luck trying to demo it. If you want to go below...

Re: Fastest turning kites you have flown?

I'm an RPM guy but if you want the fastest turning, try a Bandit. You'll prob buy it on the spot lol. It's an incredibly fast moving/turning kite, softer on grunt. Generates good pop through speed.

Re: LF response bar video review

Tried out my new Response bar yesterday, good five hour session in bountiful but low quality wind (15-32) knots with thermal squalls and lots of gusts and lulls. Needles to say I put that bar to the test! For the most part the tech works like it should - the depower is super soft and easy to power u...

Re: Snow kiting with skis

An old thread but I was going to repost in a few weeks so worth discussing. Ive been looking at snowkite schools in CO, UT, and CA as I will spending six weeks driving CO to CA and plan on stopping for skiing en route, as work, snow, and wind allow. Kitesurf wise I've progressed light years since Ma...

Re: Light Wind Kite

For higher weight, the Fat Lady is better than a zero strut (Airrush Zero) or single strut (LF Solo) design as you need those struts to support extra weight (the Solo is awesome for a lighter weight rider in light winds) when pressuring the form with jumps, rolls, etc. The Fat Lady v3 pulls a little...
