Re: The Underdog (NEW BRANDS) Kite Thread

I rate the Fluid Ego 9m, haven't tried the other sizes or other models. The 9m out performed my other 12m kite (designed by a Contract designer mentioned above) in the light winds. I use mine for unstrapped wave riding. Here's another. OS.jpg Cheers Rich Hey Rich you will have to have a go on my 9 ...

Re: Optimal quiver for Western Australia

I reckon if you are going to ride a surfboard in W.A. your smallest kite cant be any bigger than a 7. I am around 85 kg and last year I had a 6,9,12 quiver and although the 9 was the most used I used the 6 heaps. This year I am flying Switch kites which are very good value, so I have gone for a 5,7,...

Re: Best bang for your buck Quiver

You can believe whatever you want to believe alexeyga but I was flying the E... kites for two years and loved them, I was lucky enough to get a fly of the S..... kites and was hooked instantly, so bought a full quiver. I was skeptical at first but they have completely different fly characteristics, ...

Re: Switchkites Method 5 m in epic winds

Well I have got close on ten kg on you Naishdude, approx 85kg ATM, but have had several sessions on the 5 and can tell you that on a strapless BWS 5'9" Drifter the 5mtr only needs about 25knots to be serious fun (but 30knts is even better). Yes you have to work it a bit to get back upwind at 25kt bu...

Re: Dedicated wave kite

Another vote for the Switch Method from me. :thumb: The are so efficient, relaunch instantly, provide a smooth predictable pull through the turns, charge upwind, depower and drift well etc, basically do everything you want a wave kite to do. If there is any way you can demo one before you decide on ...

Re: Switch Method 7m

Well put H.A. I have had a full quiver of Switch Methods for a several months now and I will say that on the first couple of occasions I used them I did have slight stability problems when parked directly overhead, with the bar out in light gusty conditions. I learnt how deal with this within a coup...

Re: Switch Kites

I'm thinking of the nitro to replace my old 9er, but I 've read about some relaunching issues. There 's no chance I can find one to test so - all of you that have ridden the Nitro 10 -will you be kind enough to share your thoughts about the relaunch ?? Thanks in advance Noone have to say anything a...

Not a bad compromise, but that is exactly what it is... a compromise, there is only one way to have complete freedom.

Re: Switch Kites

I was lucky enough to get a full quiver 5,7,9 & 12 of the Switch Methods a few months back and have spent quite a bit of time on all the sizes over here in Western Australia. I am mainly into wave riding strapless on surfboards and have been loving these kites for this. They have a very smooth power...
