I have the 2013 9M and 11M Ozone Edge and that's my entire quiver. I've flown my 9M up to 38 kts with no issues. I won't go smaller than a 9M so I would say stay with what you have unless you are going to be getting a lot of 30+ kt winds.

According to the Naish website on the 2014 Ride they flattened the arc a bit more. If so then it will definitely offer better low end, boosting, and fly a little mire forward in your stance which makes getting upwind even easier.

When you ride with one hand you usually drop the other hand which opens your hips which means to edge harder which means you lose power. If you only get in 50 sessions a year then it is a waste of money. I log clise to 300 sessions per year and rotate my gear at the end of each season so it's easy for me to justify.
