Re: Core Vac Surfboard for kiting

Hapa 13 is spot on. Keep the weight, flex as close to a PU, just need more strength for kiting. It's a dilema for sure. Firewires(not directional)only hold for so long and they will get heel dents and eventually delaminate over time, great performance however. The tuflites/surftechs are super light...

Re: Core Vac Surfboard for kiting

I got the chance to try one the Corevac boards for kiting, over the past few days. I'm not sure the official size, model, etc... but I think it is about 5'4 with some good width too it. I think one of their light wind type models. Reminds me a lot of a choptop, placebo, or other short wide fun style...

Re: Waiman Hawaii 2012

I finally got some rideable wind over the past 2 days. Got to ride the 12, 10.5 and 7.5m. The winds were all over the map the past two days... yesterday when I was out, it was 13-18mph, increasing to 16-22mph..... and today it was gusty off shore winds in the 13-22mph range, inceasing to 20 to 35mph...

Re: Waiman Hawaii 2012

I was able to test the low end of the 12m this weekend. I'm 170lbs, and was riding a light wind surfboard(was demo'ing one of those Corevacs). Winds were crappy low... in the 8-15mph range, averaging about 12mph. I wouldn't normally bother to ride in these conditions, but wanted to see what the kite...

Re: Waiman Hawaii 2012

Sounds like a lot of work! And I don't like the idea of having to run towards the kite... :D I'm just used to the way I always did it on my C kites... fly the kite to the edge of the window about 10 ft above the ground....unhook....dive the kite towards the ground...grab the outside o shit handle......

Re: Waiman Hawaii 2012

Just got my quiver of new Wainmans yesterday. Thanks to the guys at Oceanextremesports in St. Augustine for hooking me up: (www.oceanextremesports.com) I was so amped to just get one in the air, so I ran to the beach today to pump one up. Winds were only blowing 6-10mph, and slightly offshore, so I ...

Re: SUP help... (US only)

Re: Epic Screamer Full Review, Videos, Pics, & Discussion

I personaly like the fact that when you push the bar all the way out, you still have a little power in the kite. Coming from a C-kite background, that is what I am used to...and when I miss a handle pass, it still gives me a few seconds to recover. So, to each their own.... But, I think for those wh...
