Re: last minute Aruba advise (where to stay ??)

Club Arias is not far, maybe 15 minutes or so. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Beach resort. Riding fisherman's huts is not to be missed. Super gusty offshore wind, but flat water.. Be sure to grab lunch at Rum Reef Bar and Grill at baby beach. Awesome grouper sandwich! Boca Grandi is nice, but small. S...

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

Dear Kitewise, Think irony, satire, sarcasm. My last post was filled with it. If you look back in the thread you will see I made lucid and relevant recommendations for getting his kite to fly properly and then made my pitch for him to get lessons. And invest in a newer kite. A pitch he continues to ...

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

Lessons? You don't need lessons. They're for suckers. No, what you need to do is continue to just wing it and hope for the best. What you see others doing is irrelevant. Do what feels right to you. Definitely adjust your bridle line lengths. Silly manufacturer had it all screwed up anyway. Then be s...

Re: Pump mod for old guys

Yeah, I modded my pump too. Tossed it and bought a Scroprega BST Superturbo. Five years on and I still don't need a manual pump....

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

So, what "safety stuff" have you learned? Because that's actually the important part of kitesurfing.

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

Ok, reread your first post. 10m havoc. Ok, now how much do you weigh?

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

60 euros is certainly an inexpensive buy-in to the sport of kiteboarding. I wonder how much you invested in lessons? The havoc may have been good in 2007, but the flying performance and safety aspects have come quite a long way since then. 2009-2010 is generally regarded as the watershed year in ter...

Re: Liquid force havoc 2007

I owned two Havocs in the past. You're new, and can be forgiven your mistakes, but buying a 2007 kite is foolish. Buy nothing older than 2010 if you really want to learn to kite. Case in point: The issue you are currently having. Now, what to do to fix your problem. Sounds like the bridles have stre...

Re: Watching video of driving and pumping

I like it if it helps build anticipation. Sand blowing across a tile floor while the featured kitebabe scarfs down a quick bite, tropical palms quaking in the stiff breeze on the short drive to the beach, her kite fluttering mightily while being pumped up, the launch, then BOOM, some awesome riding....
