Re: below the bar trim

I also use Naish's BTB trim and agree it is very hard to pull the trim rope when the kite is powered. Yet I've found the easiest way to trim the kite
is during turns..that slight bit of downwind puts a small window of slack in the line to pull the rope.

Re: Aruba Offshore Kiting 12m or 14m

I recommend a 12m(and you'll prolly still be overpowered).
Plus make the drive to Boca Grandi at least once while you're there for some steady onshore vs gusty offshore.

Re: Kiteboarding in the Caribbeans in June

Aruba...I recommend you stay on the east side of the island...yet the only thing to do on this side is kite. Stay at kite-inn.com $80/nt (cold a/c, hot shower) Baby Beach for butter but you can only kite there from sunrise to 9am. Boca Grandi Beach is available 24hr/day cuz its always windy but it i...

Re: Riding without sunglasses

Pterygium is commonly called "surfer's eye," you don't have to be a surfer or ever see the ocean to get a pterygium. But being in bright sunlight for long hours — especially when you are on water, which reflects the sun's harmful UV rays — increases your risk. eye.jpg https://www.aao.org/eye-health/...

Re: Ride vs Pivot- Jump Height?

Pivot will give you a little more of what you're wanting.

Yet, all-in-all...the difference between these two models is negligible.
If you're going to change kites for significant increase in height and hang-time; a high-aspect kite would be the way to go.
