Re: New Woo WR

Core alula 5 strut 3000$ Eleveight 3 strut 1400$ -0,5m  This is exactly why I find those kitemodels comparisons and Woo records utterly stupid. It's pure marketing. A gust at the right place at the right time makes way more difference than any super duper triple Nasa Aluula material which you ...

Re: exploding leading edge

My opinion is the biggest mistake kiters make is that they pump sand in the bladder whilst inflating. I have seen numerous leading edges with up to a quarter of a cup of sand in the bladder. Just one sharp piece eventually blows the bladder and can blow the leading edge at a seam. Exactly. This is ...

Definitely not the 1st foil kite megaloop. Bridge did it already in 2018.

Re: exploding leading edge

Leading edge can be repaired but you will need a new bladder. Tough to say why it happened, although we've seen a decline in bladder quality throughout all brands since a couple of years and this happens more often. I still think that the main reason for exploding bladders are sharp objects (sand, e...

Re: Sheraton to Soma Bay

I've been kiting at that exact spot where it says "wingfoil lessons". The wind is still gusty there, not only because of the hotel and some other unfinished buildings, but simply because the wind travels over land. Very similar to 7bft, which is also very gusty. The wind only really gets better at t...

Re: Duotone Evo Dlab

The bladder in my Evo DLAB at least feels exactly the same as in my Evo SLS. I doubt that there are any differences. Replacement bladders are a pain in the ass and a profitable business at the same time. There are literally 1000s of different bladder sizes (kite model x year x size). Adding a differ...

Re: Unspectacular jumping Style!

That's not powered looping, Toby. That's (heli)-looping. And the 18m catches you all the time. No freefall.

THIS is (powered) looping on a 12m:

Re: Unspectacular jumping Style!

Way more impressive to the normal Not Kiting people, than a unpowered Kite Loop in Just 4-5m.... Ok, that I can understand. Of course it is more impressive to a non-kiter to take a 12m in 25 knots and do old school board offs like Toby than taking a 9m and exercise low height (unpowered) kiteloops....

Re: Unspectacular jumping Style!

25 knots is "light wind" for proper big air. It is the lower limit for throwing kiteloops for most people. No one can defy physics so it's not a surprise that there weren't "massive jumps with huge hangtime".
