thanks for that; I'm looking into to it. But aside from the obvious relaunchability, I am confused about how the tension of the fifth line affects the depower and range of a C kite. thanks and ciao.

Retrofitting ancient bars

Just curious if anybody else with budgetary constraints has successfully added a fifth line onto old four line bars. Are there any kits out there with all of the components? Or is it a death wish to try a hardware store hack job?
Thanks.

As for ignorant guys on old C-kites: Intervention by fellow kiters may improve the survival chances of an ignorant kiter who tries to use an old C-kite at a frequented beach in inappropriate conditions. I have found the naish shift bar to be great on my 19m 05 boxer until recently when the power lines seemed to be too short and pulled in the leading edges of the wing tips. Before you switch, I would look into this but definitely go five lines.
Anybody else had this problem?

Size bar

I am missing the bar for my '05 Nitro 14 and am considering just buying a 10 meter Cabrinha of the same year. How much of a difference do you think it will be to use the 50cm bar in place of the usual 55cm.
Thanks

30 m lines?

I got a great discount from a local shop on 30m slingshot lines that I am considering using on a 13 m2 fuel. After lengthening the fifth line, any thoughts on how the kite will fly?
Thanks
