Re: OR Soul Seepage

Thanks for the tips... I’ll report back after my next session to see if burning it more helps. I’ve experienced wetness around my wrists as well but pretty sure there’s not much that can help when you crash hard. Fortunately it’s never been a lot of water just damp.

Re: OR Soul Seepage

I do burp it but I leave some air in for flotation. I’ll try and get more air out next time I’m out and see if that helps. I’m mostly in 1-4’ waves at best if not just chop. When you noticed a seams was leaking after you tested it was it visually noticeable where the leak was from? I’ve inspected Th...

Re: OR Soul Seepage

Was considering cutting the neck portion of an old wetsuit to help absorb some of the water. Anyone try something similar to this?

Re: OR Soul Seepage

No I haven’t trimed the seals. It’s pretty tight on my neck enough so that it’s not comfortable.

OR Soul Seepage

I’m getting a decent amount of water seepage through my neck seal on my soul. I’ve had it for three seasons now and have ruled out sweat, bad seal, poor fit. I use the suit to remove our dock and don’t experience any wetness but this requires much less movement than kiteboarding. The only reason I c...

Your story sounds like the Kiteboarding version of Caddy Shake when the Bishop is playing the best round of golf in his life then misses the birdie putt and is struck by lightening.

Re: Kurtis Goggles

Has anyone tried a pair of spoggles? They are primarily used within chemical manufacturing plants to help prevent splatter in the eyes. So they would provide the same type of splash protection at a fraction of the cost and some brands look better than the Kurtis glasses.

Re: 2019 Slingshot Material

Mackite released a good video and an excellent breakdown about the foil lineup on their blog which is on their website. They show weights with est. speed ranges. The spreadsheet also shows the other mfg for comparison.

Re: Best USCG buoyancy and impact vest for kitesurfing and windsurfing?

Pretty sure you won’t find a kite specific uscg approved vest because of requirements they have for buckels... I just bought the ride engine vest and it fits great and doesn’t impact my motion.
