I have it paired and connected to my Polar M600. I didn't get to try it out yet as the water just thawed and I couldn't wear my watch with my wetsuit and gloves. They were bound to eventually go to a subscription model. Sell the devices and get a customer base hooked, then charge. Don't see how they were going to stay in business just selling devices.

I got a good deal on a Polar M600. Does everything you're looking for. It's not the prettiest watch but I got used to it.

The recent Kite-Mag tests actually had a section for it called "linear power on sheet" or something like that.
