Thanks, for foil only. I learned with that board, surpisingly easy board for foiling.

Re: Nobile skimboard - best way to stiffen it for foil use?

Thanks, I believe it's called twill, so the carbon stripes are 90 degrees to each other, sort of criss cross.

Nobile skimboard - best way to stiffen it for foil use?

I have been riding Nobile kite skimboard with foil and I have laminated with epoxyresin a wide strip (20cm/8inch) of carbon (180g/6oz or so) on top of the board from tail to nose. The board is still a bit too flexy for my taste, so what's the best way to stiffen it? Should I just laminate a carbon s...

Re: FireWire Evo KiteSurfBoard

Thanks for the feedback topmick.

What's your take on early planing abilities and the speed of Vader vrs. Evo 5'3? Also, have you ridden Vanguard, if so, how does it compare to these?

Thanks again!

Re: Foil with my old Nobile Infinity board.

Peter,

about your 50 liter board; can you give the measurement, please?

Also, I'm wondering how much the length and width matters when the volume is the same for very marginal conditions?

Re: Bomb proof board from XPs insulation foam

borist, looks nice. How stiff is the board, I mean if you press down the nose of the board or more realistically the front foot strap, does it flex? How many layers of glass on top and bottom did you put? Any wood patches etc?

Re: Bomb proof board from XPs insulation foam

Very good info on this thread. Especially TomW's and BWD's, thanks very much! I am on the fence whether or not to start building foilboard. I have XPS 3cm blanks, but they are really soft stuff compared to real EPS etc. foams. Nevertheless, two quick questions I have been thinking abt: 1) my idea is...

Re: A new version of the popular Flysurfer Infinity 3.0 Airstyle Bar has arrived

I think it's only the thinner race lines--the regular bar are the same old Liros used for years. Both Race bar and Airstyle bar have 300kg front lines, the former has 200kg (1,2mm) back lines whereas the latter has 160 kg (0,8mm). I think I have read many complaints that they have snapped the front...
