Re: Alaia3- veneer composit

My Naish Alaia is the fish tail version. Having no nose scoop doesn't seem to affect it in chop, swell, small waves, it just knifes through everything. I'd be interested myself in trying the Waterlust version or someone's custom Alaia. First I'll learn to appreciate the Naish. I read somewhere the N...

Re: Alaia3- veneer composit

Nice job on the board. Impressive. I picked up a Naish Alaia a month ago and been out on it few times. It's very different from my kite surfboards. The Alaia was a trip at low tide, riding hundreds of yards in just a few inches of water. I'm still getting the hang of it, but I have to admit I'm not ...

Re: Different style of riding wave?

Windtzu what about using flat thin straps you could stand on top of. You could then ride strapped or strapless as you please. I don't know what you'd use for that. If the straps flattened out, how challenging would it get your feet into them, and then there's still those straps-bumps under your fee...

Re: Different style of riding wave?

"Riding with straps is not well suited to surfkiting, riding surfboard shapes and especially riding large surfboards. This is because to ride the board fully ,requires changing foot position especially more forward to extract the full low end out of a board. All foot straps are generally installed ...

Re: Different style of riding wave?

I discovered your Kitekahunas video series. It's an excellent instructional program! I'm into my third season of kiteboarding, I learned to ride a directional as soon as I could go upwind on a twin tip...Wish I had this video to watch all along. It's helped me refine my technique. Where I kite the w...

Re: Ride Engine Harness

New Ride Engine Harness isn't compatible with Dynabar sliding hooks, or existing standard hooks. Bummer. That really brings the cost up, especially since I like to use both types - fixed and sliding. So I'd have to buy another spreader bar from Engine and get rid of my perfectly good Dynabar. It wou...

Airush Sector - What's Your Preferred Version?

I came across two Sectors for sale that I'm interested in. V1.5 52 and a V3 54. Heard that the older v1's are more plug and play and less technical to ride than the v3 and 4's...More fun? You're thoughts? I only tried a V1 60. Liked it but leaning toward the smaller Sector for greater range in the t...
