Re: Mixer question: Pulley line attachment point on A

In my two pulley mixers (fully adjustable) there is only three parts (lines) but if you like to make it more complex you can. I prefer light weight, easy adjustability and simplicity What is, your favorite mixer ; and why ? Bille i don't know if favorite is correct word but most useful and most use...

Not functional difference but if you have B pulley line attached higher it can be a bit shorter.

Re: Help re-tuning a Sonic 2, am I on the correct path? Bridle/mixer

feels like it does not depower much. Depower is controlled at the mixer by how far B can extend past A. Measured by standing on your front line at the mixer, then pulling A and B till they stop, then measuring the gap between them. On most FS kites this would be at standard ~25cm ( a simple calcula...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

Thanks for all the good diagrams Pugetsoundkiter. But I am not sure that I have understood the jackomixer. Assuming acute angles and ignoring the trigonometry, looking at the diagram sheeting in will pull C down by let’s say n. This will pull B down half, n/2. The green line will also be pulled dow...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

Functionally Jackomixer is same as usual 1:2:4 mixer with a pulley bar. It is logical mixer in that sense it does not distort kite any more than original mixer. I am afraid it is not true. Jackomixer is not equivalent to standard 1:2:4 mixer, and so not equivalent to a pulley bar. Jackomier is 1:2:...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

Does this mod for the genesis have more or less bar pressure compared to Jackomixer? Less and it doesn't depend if it is on Genesis or some other kite. Jackomixer pulls 2:1 brakes, this mod only usual 1:1. If C is pulled same as D it means D is pretty much useless, slacking. But perhaps there is so...

Re: Kaupter XT Falcon

https://i.postimg.cc/75bL0vrR/Falcon.png I would have placed air intakes more evenly. Small detail but why put them closer to each other and center? I don't know why it should be done like that. Another drawback may be if air intake valves interfere with D-ribs (or vice versa) inside of kite. It ca...

Re: Pansh Aurora III vs A15

That mixer is not 2:1 because there is not such pull ratio there. Jackomixer is 2:1 mixer. But it is true assigning mixers is a bit messy. Way to manage it is to just understand pulling relations of each line row, that is enough. If you pull C as much as brakes there is an issue: either C is pulled ...

Re: Flysurfer sonic Race

BTW I checked Sonic Race line plan and it quite a lot seems to me there is a design flaw in it... I leave it to foil kite enthusiasts to find out what suspicious or even wrong there is in Sonic Race. FlysurferFamily.jpg Extra pulleys, extra bridles/mains, extra weight, extra drag just to manage win...
