Re: Seat harness whose legstraps don't restrict leg movement

I have the transformer and its great but the sizing is very small on the model I got. I expected it to have some leeway on me and it just fits (not by a whole lot, if I put on a couple of kg's I am in trouble). I got the 2011 model so the 2012 may be better. I'm a 34 and I got a medium and it just f...

Re: seat harness X hybrid harness - comparison needed

Been using the North Transformer for a season now. Pretty comfortable but can't comment on the back issues because I've never had a back problem. If you want to look at other options, the Liquid Force board shorts still keep the hook fairly high but is still a seat harness. I found it kept the hook ...

Re: Win a 2012 Cypher Kite From Ocean Rodeo!

This is the closest I can get without actually having a kite. My slogan is "Cypher - because not all kites are made with the same detail" https://img.skitch.com/20120412-1y6jjijcf2x9u2watnjb926fcu.png https://img.skitch.com/20120412-fyu6q8hqgwfmid2qrmtxrji3ux.png and a close up to show its also cyph...

Re: Canon telephoto lens for kiting?

I guess super zoom's have their advantages. I guess the big advantage of a DSLR is your investment in professional glass is long term. I.e. all you are doing is replacing the body. The other major advantage is the new DSLR have better tracking systems for sports photography. I.e. 3D 51 point trackin...

Re: Canon telephoto lens for kiting?

Try the new D800 (36mp) with a 70-200 f/2.8 and 1.4x. Even with only the 1.4, you be able to crop down to DX levels and get virtually 400mm with a f4.

My posts are no or more less spam then yours. I'm still a real person asking real questions. If you don't like it then don't bother reading them...My guess is you kinda like it though considering you're hanging out on kook forum and trolling for posts to criticize. Now its time to put you in your p...

Re: Bandit 5, Naish Park, Switch Element. Comparisons?

Just because he owns a Switch kite doesn't mean he is pimping. I'm thinking of moving from C's to an RPM style kite so I'd love to hear a comparison between these kites. If people think the Switch Element is as good as an RPM I'd be willing to try one. I don't see why anyone would want to spend twi...

Re: 2012 North Nugget vs 2012 Freerace?

Thanks guys. I may see if I can try them both, although I suspect accessing demo models may be tough. Currently have a 13/10/7 quiver and I'm looking to dump my 13 in favour of a fun light wind board because I find after riding the 10, the 13 just seems dull. Nothing wrong with the 13, I actually lo...

2012 North Nugget vs 2012 Freerace?

Hi Guys

Just wanted to check if anyone had tried these two and could give a comparison. Was also wondering which would have better lower end.

Thanks

Re: Waist harness that does'nt ride up?

Nope. It's not like a seat harness where the pull comes from the straps. In this case the pull is from the harness and the straps are purely there to stop it being pulled up.
