Re: Ocean Rodeo Infinite Bar

I have one, not a fan. It's not a single flag out line, I've had the bar tangle around the center line rope when ejecting on my OR Rise 7m. OR said I can't convert it to a single flag out line and they wouldn't support the conversion period. Wont use this bar after this incident as is. The old OR qu...

Re: Airush Sector

I think the Slayer went downhill in the last two model years. They put FCS fins on it and turned it into a surfboard. The mini tuttle boxes and the ability to run big fins are what makes these boards different from surfboards. My Sector 60 most of the time feels pretty big, there are days whe...

Re: Bars with longer depower stroke for surf

It's pretty ignorant to say that only fools use single flag out in the surf. There's a reason most brands are now using single flag out. It's so the kite loses 100% of its power. The mini 5th works but sometimes it still has too much power. When ejecting my first concern is to kill the power, everyt...

Re: Contra Line Tuning

Had exactly the same happen on my 2012 Cabrinha bar after about a year and a half. I had to untie all the knots in order to elongate the pigtails long enough to equal out all the lines. My Cabrinha race bar trim pulley line is even worse. Brand new bar and the line wore through in about ten sessions...

Re: Airush Sector

I enjoy the planing sensation a lot more than the foiling sensation Could you elaborate on that? It seems to me that the whole point of water sports is ... well, the water! Interacting with the infinitely variable surface. I haven't foiled myself & would be interested to try it, but I have this sus...

Re: Airush Sector

Cabrinha has the Alias which is very similar to the Sector. Don't think anyone else has a production freeride/race board anymore. RRD and North used to have similar boards but looks like they're only making full on race boards now. I have a Sector and a foil. The foil beats the Sector hands down in ...

Re: Digital wind meter or weather app ?

Disagree hugely, but you apparently got a different surf scene at your spot ? That was a joke. :) We all ask what size kites or sails people are using. I'm pretty sure asking everyone else what size they're using is mandatory. Our scene is VERY small and everyone has an anemometer. So we're all use...

Re: Digital wind meter or weather app ?

Get the wind meter. In a few years you'll be able to tell exactly what the wind speed is by feel but you wont know the actual speed to compare it to without an anemometer. The readings you get will only be for the spot you're standing in. They'll be different up top and on the outside. They'll be di...

Re: Wings for LF Foil

Wings to be had, for liquidforce have been out for a while, but not from LF. http://www.thekitefoil.com/#!online-sto ... ort=normal Thanks, I've seen those. But at that price they're almost as much as I paid for my whole foil setup. I got lucky. If I spend that much I might as well get a whole new ...

Re: Wings for LF Foil

Where did you see LF offering new wings in January? I thought they were only going to offer the new carbon wings/fuselage upgrade? Would love to try some different wings for it, if the price was right. I don't really want to upgrade the whole foil as I didn't quite get into the foiling stoke. Glidin...
