Re: Comparison BRM Cloud C1 vs C2

I've found with the 12m C2 if there's enough wind to fly the kite, there will be enough wind to lift the canopy off the water for relaunch. If you're talking about boasting days when the wind ramps up to 10 knots, it jumps 10m to the clouds, being so light stay afloat in 2 knots. :jump: I don't know...

Re: Comparison C1 vs C2

The kite feel more balanced, and closer to a more conventional feel without loosing the cloudness :-) Really, but you're still not coherent according Dr. :naughty: http://i.imgur.com/t0JnGfC.jpg I do not find the bar pressure very high, and never have, so I am a bit hesitant saying much about that....

Re: Brm cloud 12m vs flysurfer speed 3 12m

They are at least as misunderstood (by those who don't fly them) as foils. But they are simpler. And lo the reappearance of aumm the cloud-disser. Like a bad penny  His post contradicts itself so I won't address it. Maybe he needs a better English translator? Joyeux Noel! awesome kites and Gre...

Re: Brm cloud 12m vs flysurfer speed 3 12m

Before you yell at me, I know, these kites are exact opposites of each other :) Im wondering which kite will stay up in lighter wind and if anyone has a weight comparison between the two The 17m Cloud weighs 2.74kg, so its closer to the weight of the 12m Speed 3 at 2.7kg. A comparison between those...

Re: Hydrofoil evolution challenge #2: surface piercing foil

By the way, what makes a kiteboard go downwind is not necessarily a bad L/D ratio of the kite (of course a low L/D ratio does not help holding ground), but simply the sheer size of the aerodynamic force component in the downwind direction, which can no longer be counterbalanced by the hydrodynamic ...

Re: Ozone chrono 9m wind range with foil board

Even in the lightest winds my 12m cloud with 40m lines has been overpowered with the hydrofoil Not surprised and I'm glad at least you're honest about it without hiding the truth :thumb: Strutless kites are not practical for foil boarding at all because of the limited narrow range and can't handle ...

Re: Ram Airs crash in 2014

Well, if it isn't my old nemesis, pumpy. You must be either at home again since the wind is too low to even thinking about pumping up your tubes, or you are on holiday from your job at the mall where you can be found incessantly boasting to the cadres of disinterested local teenagers about your man...

Re: Do people hate cabrinha?

Cabrinha and many other kiteboard firms do vastly more to advance the great sport of kiteboarding than the majority of kiteboard forum users do. Thank you. Excatly :thumb: That's the reason kudos for cabrinha about abandoning the strutless idea, because they know it's lack of performance and unfrie...
