Re: Priorities!

Another key factor is to have lots of gear so your window of opportunity is wide open. With my 5 kite line up (7m to 17m) , and 2 TTs, I can go out almost anytime I can break free. I did a lot of dawn patrols this year, they are great for family guys. Up early and home early..

Re: Priorities!

I have been able to find a good balance between kids and kiting. As long as your wife is cool and not a raging bitch you just need a pay to play arrangement. In other words when its not blowing you need to be on double duty with family responsibilities. Take the kids out for the day and give your wi...

Lessons in Bonaire

I have a windsurfing friend who is looking to take some kite lessons when she goes to Bonaire.
Has anyone here gone to or heard feedback about either one of the schools on the island?
Any input would be appreciated..

Re: Cabrinha Switchblade 2015 vs 2014

I cannot tell the difference either. The 2015 kites feel very similar to 2014. Personally, I liked the 2014 bar but the 2015 bar has some improvements. However, I keep pinching my fingers against the bar and the stopper when letting the bar out (due to the increased recoil spring pressure). And I a...

Re: Drysuit Gaskets for Pyros

Anyone know if the standard 10" neck gaskets sold all over the place will fit my old 05' OR Pyro drysuit? It has a larger 14" opening where the gasket attaches (measured across) so im confused why no 14" gaskets offered. i posted this question to Ocean Rodeo's forum but its been two weeks and no re...

Re: New: KiteLaunchTool

I use the Kiteanchor that is very similar but made from galvanized Steele. It is far from a dog anchor and holds very well when installed correctly. I agree the line looks a bit short, You would be on your knees and also could catch your harness on the handle. When I use my anchor I always hook my k...

Re: Who dont use safety leash?

So you hit your safety and your kite goes bye bye. How does that make you safer ? not to mention you just possible lost your kite or harmed someone else downwind. Lets just call the coast guard now and find another way to ban kiting!!!

I am staying with the leash concept.

Re: Whats your kiting wind range?

10knt to about 35knts is my window, I really do not like it when its nuking over 40knt, Shit just happens to quick. Perfect conditions for me 16 to 22knt on twelve, or 22to 30 knts on 9m. Thankfully that wind window is happening about 90% time around here.
