Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

Wait Westozzy , this is only the beginning with your son. You are going to share some amazing adventures together. Nice job and nice picture. Now I have people at the beach asking me if I can take their kids for a ride. Anything to make the kids happy since my 11 year old son is too big and he is o...

Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

I just want to post that I am developing a surf kite called "The Smurf". Just to let everyone know. that name is taken now...

It will be the best smurf kite on the market for all dedicated kitesmurfers.

Of course, it will be Smurfy blue.

Re: ET Handle, new kite pump add-on just launched!

Thanks for the thoughts guys :thumb: sijandy - It is actually a very expensive process developing plastic molding and sourcing parts, but agree, $29.50 may be a little high. With this in mind, I've dropped the price to $19.00 !! eree - Yes, some pumps are a better size, but they still benefit from ...

Re: The Marty Kiteloop story (and how to avoid it) safety

In buttery water, it makes it a lot easier landing when coming in with a lot of downwind speed. In chop...a lot tougher especially if your kite is not giving you the smooth catch type of landing. Tenative on the loop, your kite might not come around fast enough and you will land hard. I'm scared as ...

Be a little more descript on your problems. Perhaps it will be helpful to others in making a kite selection / tuning.

Re: New Board....which one

Tough to make a decision with the Shinn range considering they are all really nice. I spend time floating between several different width Monks (40, 41 & 44), The Street (42.5), Gintronic 41 Wide. All a little different each has their strong point. Wainman Joke is also a great board, cush landings, ...

Re: Wainmann vs. other freestyle kites?? Help please

I have found the 2012's are a bit more friendly for jumping as well as more floaty than the previous two version (2009 & 2010-11). If you want a little more height and float, move the bridle to the upwind setting. The 12 & 14.5 are really nice jumpers now. 14.5 is incredibly stable, lots more friend...

Gintronic is good board for light wind and i was on 41 wide.

42 is a solid choice for you.
