Re: Flysurfer Sonic 4

How much maintenance are people finding necessary with the Sonic 4? With my souls I find I need very little tuning - even on second hand kites as the mixer seems to stay in tune for a long time and flies pretty well even when out of tune (my kite lines seem to need more frequent tuning than the mixe...

Re: North Orbit Ultra

Every business wants to be the next Apple. Maybe so. I think instead of incorporating this belief into the material of the kite what about the shape of the kite. Everybody knows the Orbit loops quick but not the quickest on the market - especially when you take aluula kites into perspective. Maybe ...

Re: WhatsApp group for selling kite gear uk

A whatsapp group sounds a terrible idea. I've seen a parents whatsapp group - and that's only got 30 people in it. Its just full of absolute nonsense. Imagine trying to search through a chat conversation to find a kite you are interested in. It would be horrendous How would you even join it if there...

Re: Reef break Kite spot in Europe

You'll struggle with consistent wind in most of Europe. Some Mediterranean islands (Mostly Greek Islands) get good winds in the summer and there's Tarifa but outside of that you have to use weather.

Decide if you want consistent wind or nice flat water. I don't think you can have both in Europe.

I believe its a rebadged Shinn SuperKing Comfort ( the flysurfer Trip is the shinn slicer ) https://kite.shinnworld.com/products/superking-comfort-2022 I've heard the Superking is good. At my weight I would go for the standard superKing for more range. I've seen videos of people boosting pretty well...

Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

Surfboard or directional? The Ocean Rodeo Duke (and jester to a lesser extent for lighter riders) work VERY well as light wind directionals - but they aren't the best for catching waves. Because of the concave on them they don't need to be ridden on the fins as much as a surfboard and I think this m...

Re: suitcase for splitboard

In general - if you search around you can find the dimensions being applied to 'luggage'. Its normally something like height + width + length must be less than 180cm or similar. I have on occasion been asked to drop my duffel bag down at the oversized luggage because its wide but it fits within the ...

Re: Stalling 10m Evo 2021

As original poster is fully man sized and its a duotone product, you might also want to measure the bridles. The length of each line should be printed on a tab on the bridle. A tall friend of mine had a similar issue with a Dice kite that flew fine for a half pint like me but would backstall for him...

Re: Twin Tip Foil Kite Riders Line Lengths

Ya cool. I am primarily interested in the effect of the line length in terms of maximizing my hangtime. A heliloop or two sounds wonderful. What is the minimum amount of wind you are able to heliloop with a foil kite? Which kite, kite size and your weight? Ive done plenty of heliloops at 25+ knots ...
