Re: Go pro issues related to Kitesurfing, Options

You can still use your old batteries, they just don't last as long. I have my 8 since it's release and it's working perfectly. I use the silicone cases to protect the buttons and doors and to prevent the door from opening accidentally. Works perfect. Before having the silicone case the door opened ...

Re: Go pro issues related to Kitesurfing, Options

As you mentioned, the Hero7 has horrific freezing issues. I don't know if the freezing issues persisted to the 8 or 9. I think GoPro has the best camera and software processing on the market, but if it doesn't work half the time, then what's the point of having it? Yeah Agreed, very frustrating. Th...

Go for the GP9 with subscription (first year free and offers you a discount of 100 euro/dollar) and it comes with no hassle waranty as in instant replacement up to 2 GoPros a year if I am correct. Stabilization on the 9 is unreal. Look at how bad I f*** everything up and it still keeps the horizon in line while the kite rotates every direction
That's pretty impressive.

Drone maybe? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3axYfIOHTY Or a replaceable housing: https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/hero9-black-protective-housing-plus-waterproof-case/ADDIV-001.html It's very hard to find anything that are water proof over time. Anything! The gopro has doors, button...

Go pro issues related to Kitesurfing, Options

Hi, First off let me say that I'm a heavy Gopro user, using mouth and line mounts pretty consistently. Last week my Gopro 7 black died because water got in. It was just over a year old. This my second 7black that has died that way the previous one was covered by warranty, but Gopro informed me they ...

Autumn in Sardinia and pick up some plastic while you at it

Thanks to Covid I got to spend time in Sardinian autumn. Also started picking up plastic everytime I'm at the beach. Not difficult as it's everywhere. Would be a good trend to start amongst kiters? If you don't dig acoustic music live recordings you know where the mute button is :cool2: Ced https://...

Re: How to dislocate and bruise ribs with a harness?

I broke the cartilage on my front lower rib during a loop gone wrong with a waist harness, I looped with not enough height, basically got pulled over the bar and hit the water with my weight over the bar powering it up. the harness got yanked up and voila! So now I have one of those famous bumps. So...
