Re: Ozone Alpha V1 - First Session

Does it make sense to replace my Enduro 12m with a 12m Alpha for general freeriding with surf an TT? As I‘m only 63kg a 12 is my biggest kite. Currently I have 5/7/9 Enduro V2 and a 12 V1. I feel that the range of my 12m is limited and I could get more lowend from the Alpha. Based on the rest of yo...

Re: How to self launch a kite

So just to be really clear, you have never tried my method, but declare it terrible and akin to letting the spirit of a dead person drive your car for you? Then you declare that the JK method which you fully endorse, is the same as what I'm doing, but its comprehensively better. All while ignoring ...

Re: How to self launch a kite

OK so you have never used my method. BUT you are an expert on it and can declare it a terrible and dangerous method, :D I've seen so many people mangle themselves and others nearby with the method shown in the JK vid, because they try this method in strong winds, not 10 knots like in his video. Whe...

Re: How to self launch a kite

I've been using this method for nearly a decade, its never let me down, does not do what you claim. The method works extremely well and is best suited to any open sandy beach area where there are no sharp objects that will damage the LE of the kite. Please show us your video of the "better" method....

Re: How to self launch a kite

Here is the best way to self land your kite, in any winds, with any inflatable kite that has a free running single front line safety system like Ozone kites use. Pretty sure "the best way to self land" doesn't involve giving up all control over the kite and trusting the safety to not do something f...

Re: How to self launch a kite

Here is a short video on the method I teach. Should be learned in light winds away from other beach users.

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

In the mid-1990 s, PSR developed a patented recrystallization process for converting Honeywell s S-900 fiber into a higher strength material. The Plasma process produced ropes that were the highest strength constructions available, predating the availability of ropes made from either S-1000 or SK-7...

Re: I need convincing too:) Bar back lines!

lines get stronger with use as the dyneema molecules gets more and more aligned in the same direction, but that's why not why they weaken, they weaken because every time sand rubs against the lines, or you twist them on to the bar, or you make a turn, the lines fray and wear, that's where they get ...
