Re: Movin away from Duotone to a new Wave Kite

Slightly off topic but as you consider changing brands It's a good idea to make sure all your kites and bars are compatible with each other, a mixture of high and low Y stock complicates things unnecessarily IMO.......

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

It will work but won’t keep you happy. I’d say the gap is too big and you’d feel a bit overpowered on 9m in near-whitecaps wind when 5 will be not enough yet, and at 10 knots you might need lines extensions to pull yourself out of water with a 9m 5/7/10 would work much better or 6/9 if you insist o...

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

You kill me with wind range for UFO. I have 100 kg and foil 1200 cm², will 9m and 5m cover me between 10 and 22 knots?? It will work but won’t keep you happy. I’d say the gap is too big and you’d feel a bit overpowered on 9m in near-whitecaps wind when 5 will be not enough yet, and at 10 knots you ...

ISO chicken loop

I am modding a bar to use for foiling...... I want to ditch the PU covered sleeve and and use the older style two line cam cleat setup, I need a chicken loop which lets the power line pass through the top of the loop and return to attach at the cam cleat. (newer CL seem to have a single covered line...

Re: Need a copy-writer!

That sort of text is a great advertisement for exactly why the OP does need a copy writer.....this is all sizzle and no sausage (with gratuitous lashings of Whiz) ;) I would use ChatGPT and Deepl.com to create the copy by myself. Nah, not what we need. Really? Seriously people who write texts are pr...

Re: Rental cars without split rear seats? Common in Spain?

Ok, you could be able to fit 2 board bags at passenger seat, 3 not. Or get those mobile track systems for the roof…they are quickly installed and work well. Google them, don’t know the name I'd imagine if you specified a hatchback you'd more likely have split seats. If you put a couple of pool nood...

Re: Cabrinha Live Free Fly Free

I wish they quoted all foil and mast weights ........ I want to update my 2020 HI Rise for a Fusion X but am reluctant to do so unless I can see I'm going to save a reasonable amount of heft;)

Re: Down Sizing Foil Board for Kite

Jibe is turn. Footswitch is footswitch. Sounds like you are well ahead of me as I can jibe but not switch my feet in either direction. I downsized from 135 to a Kanaha Shapes 42” (107cm) and it was the best thing I did once I could ride well in both directions. There is still plenty of space (proba...
