Preppie, there are no 15.5 ARC's. I don't know the clip you refer to, but Rod flys an F12. It's long and thin and lends to inverts more than others. There is a new G arc coming out that may be a 15.5 but it's not out yet last I heard. (there are "S" , "F", and "G" ARCs) S's are the first developed a...

Eric is right. It's an ARC thing! The kite flips inside out so that the top is facing you and the bottom is facing the sky. the kite will fly but with no pull. And the simple explanation is to nose it on the water and let it flip itself again. This usually happens, but sometimes only half the kite f...

Jimbo, LA, I have to disagree with you. I once felt just like you but just recently proved otherwise. Tire of walking upwind in light air i decided to just experiment with a body drag. This was inside a lagoon, with 11mph of wind and an ARC1510. My board was trailing behind me on a the leash. I flew...

So the Coast Guard could not find him in the dark with his black wetsuit and hood...even with their search lights! I'll bet if he had been wearing a helmet with reflective tape (like fighter pilots) they could have spotted him. Another reason for a helmet!!

Hey Johnny, check out GRATEFULHEADS. They've been making whitewater helmets for a few years. They have many styles to choose from as well as custom colors, ect. They're much stronger than Gath's, Protecs, ect and are considered top of the line by kayakers. This would be a new market for them and cha...

Get "RIDE HARD". It only shows rider and kite once in the entire movie, BUT, it has excellent footage of a few kite comps. Not the typical 100 foot airs that most movies have, but real world day to day primo kitesurfing. Excellent tunes and 2 hours long and just $30.oo. Sorry I can't remember the li...

Doesn't the Pyro zip across the back? You can get a comparable full drysuit by KOKATAT
for $350 that has a zipper across the chest from waist to shoulder. a real tuff suit designed and marketed to whitewater folks.

broken ankle from running up on a sandbar and taking a leap. many bangs in the head-while wearing a helmet-until I bought the reel leash. no board launches since. As for "sine wave elbow", mine went away (after 6 years) by taking mega doses of glucosamine sulfate. Took 6 weeks to notice improvements...
