Re: Hood River

I haven't been there this summer, but I use a 4/3 most of the time. A shorty is good for real warm days, but the weather is changing here. It was 38 this morning where I live in Idaho, 6 hours from hood. Also, I don't like to be cold. 7/9 will be good if the gorge is filled in. When it is nuking, it...

Re: How many hours off air flight is a kite built for?

Windbreaker, I have 2008 nemesis 6, 9, 12, and 14m kites that I still fly. Replaced Valles in 6 and 12, but other than that they are still pretty crispy. My kiting in the summer is pretty limited due to where I live, but snow kite a lot in winter. Didn't answer your original question, but what bar d...

Re: Kitesurfing in Alaska-Anchorage

My son in law lived there for several years and they kite on the turnigan arm. He lives in Fairbanks now. Pretty tough place to kite. Wetsuit/drysuit, big tides, silty water. There is a big kite community there.

Re: Old/Ancient gear - what is it good for?

I have 2008 nemesis kites still in great shape. Would a newer OR bar work with them. The best bar is a low y. I looked at the compatibility chart posted on this forum awhile back and best sites weren't listed.

I am sure it is a 2007. I have 9, 12, and 14 nemesis's, 2007 which I still fly. The 14 is the same pink color. :thumb:

Good for her. "I felt the wind, and I felt the power. " Pretty much says it all!

Re: Kitesurfing in Maui

I will be leaving as you are arriving. I am 180 and am brining 6,9, and 12 with 150 mako tt. Might bring directional, but not sure I want to pay oversize fee. Go to mauiwindcam. They have a cam of kanaha beach. Fun to check out.

Even if the wind is flat, surfing and SUP are great.

Enjoy
