Re: Which Canadian dealers have North Rebels 2014?

Boardsports in Toronto will probably have the 2014s before any other Canadian dealer. The new model release schedule is later here than it is in Europe and some other territories, so you may be looking at Oct... But give them a shout. http://www.boardsports.ca/

Re: North 2013 light wind freeride+big airs kite: Fuse or Dy

"Light wind freeriding + big airs, Fuse or Dyno?" I weigh 175 lbs / 80 kg. Have had a 15m Dyno the last two seasons, this year the 2013 is on 27m lines. I ride 90% of the time strapless, so my light wind set up is the Dyno and a Nugget (or a raceboard). Amazing combination for light winds. The Dyno ...

Carib, Feb 10 - 17: Based on forecast, where would you go?

Planning a week to the Carib from Feb 10 - 17. It seems like the trades are a little fluky this year, and because I'm flying on buddy passes, am going to book last minute based on forecast. If it were just me, I'd go to Barbados, most of my buds are going that week, I'm a surfboard guy AND I'm goofy...

Re: 2013 11M North Rebel

These are amazing kites for freestyle and for waves, I'd probably choose a C kite for unhooked, but the Rebel does everything else extremely well. They are ridiculous jumpers. Amazing steering when depowered, direct and connected feel, very well engineered and made. I have lots of time in on the 201...

Re: Offshore winds in Aruba

I could have been bit clearer in my post. I didn't mean that I bought cold drinks expecting that if I needed a rescue I'd get it for free, I read up before I went to Aruba and understood that if you have to get rescued, there is a $20 fee. I brought some beers with me to introduce myself and ask the...

Re: I was wrong about North products!

Jbrook: Good for you for posting about your positive experience and change of heart. I'm stoked to be riding North too and the 2013 lineup just rips. I can't believe how good my 2013 12m Vegas is in the waves, as well as everywhere else - and the Rebel keeps getting better every year. It's fair to s...

Seagoggs wrote:I'd personally buy a few used surfboards cheap, see which sizes and shapes you enjoy riding the best and then shell out the money for a kite specific directional in the size and shape you desire.
Great advice!

Re: Offshore winds in Aruba

I'm going back to Aruba last week of December for the third time in 12 months. I love it there because when I'm off for a week, I want to fly a small kite as much as I can everyday to work on my thing, and the chances of doing that are good in Aruba. If I had a month, or even two weeks, I could stan...
