Re: if you fall in 4m waves ???

As said you should never go out in 4m waves and onshore winds. Not even if you are experienced, less if not used to ride big waves But being out and in the situation you describe: 1st pray :-) 2nd run, fly, jump what even to shore. ignore the board as it will go to shore probably before you do! In m...

Re: New Best TS 2012

Just 1 cent: I did not ride them but saw them (protos with that triangle on the LE) on the air almost every session this year at my beach. They where always rocking from 12 to 50 knots. The Best riders where using the small ones 4m (and 3m although it is not in the website) surfing from 30 knots unt...

Not yet. I am curious too. Mayne Dan from North has some insight. It is great they kept the onepump in it!

Re: North ripping off Ozone's designs....shame on you North

If there is anyone building products that doesn't compare with competition, then they are wasting time and money. Everyone serious in business must be constantly evaluating it's products against competition. If there is some breakthrough design, then register it to protect your interests! Don't mix ...

Re: Rebel 6 m 2011 to replace Rebel 7 m 2007?

Thanks guys! Looks like 5-7-9 2011 would be the best combo. But 6-9 2011 comes pretty close. In that case, I'll keep the old 7 for the really gnarly days and for when I come to Guincho  Bruno @Bruno: In summer time bring the smallest you have! The guys from Best have been using 3m and 4m proto...

Re: North Rebel 2012 review please!

... packing the kite is a bitch. You fold it from one side to the other following the trailing edge instead of the leading edge. I might have to get used but the first attempt was a disaster. If you guys have any tips please bring them on. Other than that I really don't have any cons to report. I h...

Re: Rebel 6 m 2011 to replace Rebel 7 m 2007?

The title says it all: I'm looking to replace my old 2007 North Rebel 7 m, which is - under the right conditions - a fantastic kite.. She's just a little worn out by now. I know the new model have a lot better low-end, but I recently replaced my 2007 9m Rebel with a 2011 9m Rebel, and found that it...

Re: North Rebel 2012 review please!

Hi, Although we are in the "low season" we are having some of the best kite days here in Guincho. Big waves and strong winds. So i am putting very good use on the 2012 Rebel 5m. And the news are that it is exactly what i expected in the line of the 2011 7m: amazing! I estimate that I am in comfort i...

Re: TwinTip for waves

Hi,
A little OT but just an advice: i sturted playing on waves on a TT and let me tell you that it is so _much_easier_ to surf on a directional than on a TT.
Best winds,
