I think it depends on what you get used to. But I am using 22m lines. And the 4 and 3 can be very tricky when it gets windy and junky as the timing is so fast. I hadn’t noticed the joystick came with 18m lines with 4m extensions. I don’t ride my 6m much but it might be nice on 20m and 18m for larger...
I invested once when I slammed it into the ground (was looping back and forth one handed in a lull and a gust hit). and in the waves. I’ve also pumped it up inverted maybe twice. I’d say they can invert easier than strutted kites but it would be a rare occurrence. I’ve never inverted in normal flyin...
Bullocks, sorry to say... Equal line lenghts can, if you are lucky, work with some kites under certain conditions. But almost like winning in the lottery  It can be the default trim before you fly any kite, agree, but apart from that, of no use IMO  Different riders, different wind,...
I’m not sure which bar is being used, but duotone does not have adjustment knots on the line ends or the kite. The click bar comes with a set of pig tails differing 5cm in length to adjust for front rear line difference. The older duotone yellow kite lines were very stretchy and you could get a lot ...
lol.... for sandy/empty beaches, I go low tech & v cheap...a bit of decent rope with a carabiner & a 1.5ft long length of 4x2 wood buried 2-3ft down - has never failed even gusting to over 40kn sometimes...if I dont have the dog with me to dig the hole, instead of wood, I just attach the rope to th...
It seems to me it should be cheaper. Without dye and using last water to manufacture. I suggested to duotone that they make a simpler sock bag to ship the kite and sell a higher quality bag that would last several years that you could use to pack your kite to the beach, If they were really serious ...
Might not sound very humble, but I'm 100% right. 20 years in the textile industry, incl. development of the very materials we are discussing. Making kite canopy and dacron from recycled raw materials (PET) is possible but very challenging and not commercially viable. Both use HT (high tenacity) pol...
