Re: Pocket board building

What are your thoughts on doing a semi-hollow PVC/EPS 60 or 80kg/m3 board, ie. full bottom and deck foam plates but between them, you would glue full length (length wise) strips of the foam? Then board wrapped in carbon? Would that work or not? This would be for building wingboard as there's much mo...

Re: Duotone Rebel kite question/advice needed

I ride strapless surfboards (freestyle and waves), and currently my biggest kite is Neo SLS 10m, which starts for me 8ms average, gusting 9ms. Been wondering for lighter winds either Evo SLS 12m or Rebel 12m 2021. Seen Airton etc. riding Rebels for big air, but I wonder if the 12m is too big for sna...

Re: Duotone 2021 one pump hose clamps

Hi, I just received my 2021 Duotone Dice and Neo kites and have tried with both to leave the struts inflated for quick folding and transport on two occasions. This hasn't worked; as soon as I start rolling the kite up, the struts deflate. I have tried putting more pressure on the clamps but it hasn...

Re: Covid vaccine

Further to kazi's last post. You have dips during the weekends (I guess), but using worldometers the UK has reported around 500 daily Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of November. Lately we have even seen spikes of around 1000 per day. If we look at statista.com the UK will typically have around...

Re: How about foot hooks for winging instead of straps?

Thanks guys.

Perhaps I don’t need but I think you agree that you get much better leverage for quicker turns with straps, right? Bigger foils equals more leverge needed to turn the board quick. I don’t have any problema with Moses 633 on kitefoil but w1100 is a different animal on a wingboard?

How about foot hooks for winging instead of straps?

Just wondering if foot hooks would work well for winging, anyone tried? I am a bit nervous about damaging my foot when crashing esp. if the one foot stays in the strap and the other doesn't. Although I am riding kitefoil and surfboards strapless, I think for big foil wings the straps (or foot hooks)...

Urgent question: is the hook removable on Mystic Stealth spreader bar, please?

Black friday sales related question, please: Is the Mystic Stealth spreader bar (hook version) the hook removable or not, please? In one youtube video it said yes, but on the comments it says no. :o My idea is to remove the hook and install the rope for wave riding and vice versa. Oh and the one: if...

Re: Core Sensor 3 Safety Issues

yeah, in the first pic the rings show excessive wear, just wonder how this can happen after 6 sessions?!? But anyways, that's the reason for fraying.

Re: Onyx Select Semidry Hood 6/5/4 or Xcel Drylock Hood 6/5

Cheaper alternative but good quality so far is https://srface.com/ I have Xcel Drylock 5/4 2021 initially bought for the very cold weather before the Srface which I bought as a cheaper option for less cold weather and to save the Drylock. Might be that the Srface will do well for the very cold condi...
