Re: Pump vs foilboard

Snip... ...and it has a couple of degrees of nose up engineered into the setup which compensates for a lack of scoop (scoop being rocker pushed to the nose) Snip... Yes, it compensates for the lack of scoop, but it is a solution which is needed and not good. As you will have your forward foot lifte...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

Skymount weighs around 380-410 grams - difficult to weigh as I have mounted an extension so I tried to weigh the components of this and subtract. Not very light, so curious about the Flymount. Skymount fits 140-150 mm (and more) diameter tubes without using double inserts, so it apparently sits a bi...

Re: Duotone Life Hacks - Baseplate Shim

When watching other wingfoilers it is easy to see if board has a nose down or nose up trim. If in doubt have someone take a short video from shore of yourself. A wrong board angle is evident now. Only exception is beginners, where you often see them ride with a dramatic nose up. Because they use big...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

I use the flymount occasionally but I’m always a little sketched out that it will fall off. It’s a good angle though. More often I use a Velcro mount that I wrap around my strut (there is a small hole between the canopy and strut). The other benefit is that I can reach back to the camera to start a...

Re: Duotone Life Hacks - Baseplate Shim

Makes sense...

But I hate videos like that, where a picture and text could explain the same much more detailed and thoroughly and faster.

Re: Pump vs foilboard

Pump boards are designed to allow you to glide with both knees straight, because if your front leg knee has to remain bent a little to glide then you wont get the rest you need. So do kitefoilboards. That's the whole point and why I don't like too short pocket boards as the nose rocker needs to be ...

Re: Airton Cozzolino leaving Duotone

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gong is probably both a low cost and low price retailer, I've never seen anyone riding their kites, so their volumes would be low, so they can't amortize their team over X thousand kites sold. seems they doing a lot of business on non-kiting equipment. Check their webSi...
