Re: Slingshot UFO 11M

With the UFO V3 coming out, I realize I'm way late posting a review of my V2 11M that I got last Spring. My foil quiver was 3/5/7 UFO and a 12 Ghost. That had me foiling in most anything I wanted, but I was interested in swapping out the Ghost. No complaints with performance, I learned to foil on t...

Re: Buying new Pivot from Naish.com and ship to Canada

I did exactly that last year and yes I got a huge bill from UPS but I didn't pay it. They will charge you like 100$ in fees for them to electronically submit 50$ in taxes to the government they are crooks of the worst kind. All you have to do is call them and say you want to do your own custom broke...

Re: Prescription sunglasses

I use Zenni regular Sunglasses with a prescription they are really good and if you loose them it's only 30$ a pair. I added a floating leash to them I had them for like 10 years and I can't loose them and they won't break. When I had expensive ones from the local opticians I kept losing them.. Murph...

Re: Naish boxer 5m or 7m for foiling

I'm 80kg and I own several Boxers for this wind I would be on a 9m at your weight 7m would probably do it. I can probably get going at 10 knots on the 7m but it's more work in the lulls that's why I would normally ride the 9m above 10 knots and below 15.

Re: Nash pivot compared to north reach

The Pivot high end is great a very stable kite quick but well behaved. The low end on the pivot is also very good. The only bad thing about the Pivot is that the larger one have high bar pressure but for 9m and below no problems. A 7m Pivot would do it! I have taken my 9m Pivot above 35 knots and it...

Re: Does size matter?

Stability is defined as “The propensity of an object to maintain it’s balance even after being disturbed in relation to the base of gravity. As a good example if a car has a low centre of gravity along with a wide base has been considered the most stable object” For example a Rolls-Royce is more sta...

Re: How many sessions to replace a kite

As Toby said it really depends I know people who go to the beach to talk and pump their kite and leave it there to bake in the sun and only ride 30 minutes. I have seen kite that were cooked to the point the the canopy would rip very easily. If you are super careful and pack your kite as soon as you...
