Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Trim point is independent of trim range.

Backstall or reverse flying is needed for more advanced kite flying.

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

See easy. You can do better though but that works. There is a few ways to do this but they are all mostly similar though.

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

I can see I have triggered many people. Death is not an easy subject to be unemotional about. Questions of morals and ethics can be hard. Faced with an outcome where many people will die, unless you let just 1 person die. Say a sinking ship, where a compartment must be sealed. With some one in it. W...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

A few things. It is great you can get some of these things online. The 2 examples given though, do not have safety lines. It is also possible to be more compact. They also have hard edges. These catch and will "accidentally" release. A ball is the only object that is both very possible to grab and h...

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

Agree with that, but I think you are mistakenly comparing a cold which is harmless for everyone, with influenza or pneumonia which kills many each year, if weaker. Pneumonia/Influenza typically last for 5 days only, but you get extremely high fever on day 2-3 and 4, and it kills quite some every ye...

Re: foiling is surfing

The term I use is "surfkiting", goal is to use the kite as little as possible, slack lines are ideal with zero kite pull. It is borderline completely opposite to "wavekiting", which as far as I can work out is some form of flat water kiting done near waves. It is most hilarious to watch the turns do...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

second "leash" release is pull instead of push and can be activated before the main qr, letting your kite fly away without flagging it first. easily solvable ball-pin release is tiny and needs considerable force to open under high load. wtf? come back to earth. pin swings open with enough force to ...

Re: Covid-19 - How does it affect your kite-life?

Dying irl sucks, but the panic from this virus is causing way more harm than the virus would ever alone. Coronaviruses are super common, also known as colds. The vast majority of people feel absolutely nothing with this one. Death rates are way over blown, because infection rates are way way underre...
